At ScioMD, we're developing a first-class cloud platform and API for health care. We're looking for people who are passionate about bringing 21-century technology to an industry that desperately needs it. You'll be responsible for key technical decisions, contributing to a first-of-its-kind health care platform that will impact thousands of patients everyday.
We'd like you to have some knowledge of web services, web programming, and paradigms (e.g. client-server relationships, AJAX, RESTful APIs, security, and storage). You should be a strong programmer with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design, with the ability to construct simple solutions to hard problems.
So, what do you think of the website and lab reports? Not too bad, huh?
As a graphics and UI/UX designer, you'll help us design web interfaces and interactions. Some work will be in static HTML, like this website, but most of your efforts will be focused on our clinic portal, a front-end interface to our lab report service used by health care providers, and our internal analytics dashboard, used to monitor activity, stats, and determine pricing strategies.
What? A print designer at a software company? You bet!
Every lab report we create begins with the print designer, long before engineering gets involved (sorry coders). You'll design the templates and mockups that will eventually become the actual, dynamic lab reports sent out to patients all over the country. You'll also work with some of the most talented print and graphic designers we contract with here in Madison.
We work heavily with vector graphics and the PDF standard, so you'll need some experience with InDesign or Illustrator. Apply ››
