Aerick is our chief executive, focused on business, product, and customer development. His previous work in database architecture has given him a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities health care presents. Aerick brings this insight and expertise to ScioMD, identifying new possibilities for data extraction, visualization, and reporting.
Aerick has been in the health care IT industry since 2004, involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of complex medical and financial data warehouse projects for Marshfield Clinic, in central Wisconsin. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Computer Technology from Purdue University.
He is a foodie wannabe, owns a mini dachshund, and is a fan of British rock.
Tom is our chief programmer and technical director. He concerns himself with the technical design of our cloud platform, API, clinic portal, and website.
A nine-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Tom served as an Information Systems Technician at the U.S. Naval War College and aboard the USNS SUPPLY. Following active duty, he served in the Navy Reserve at centers in Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI, including a short time with ISMERLO in Norfolk, VA, writing software for NATO submarine search and rescue.
Tom studied computer science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He served as Director of the Distinguished Lecture Series' 2010-11 season at the Wisconsin Union, and has been involved with numerous campus and community events and committees. Active in angel investing, community service, and charitable giving, Nick is a serial innovator, entrepreneur, and retired physician executive and clinician. He serves as co-manager of the Wisconsin Investment Partners and on the board of startup life science companies and non-profit community organizations.
Nick is a mentor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He earned a B.A. from Marquette University, an M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine and oncology training at the Universities of Iowa and Wisconsin, respectively, and served in the United States Navy as a flight surgeon.
